(In reply to Philipp Kewisch from comment #6) Strangely even after setting that preference I still didn't get any. > If you enable strict warnings you will get a notification about the unknown (In reply to Stefan Sitter from comment #5) Splinter Review This adds third parameter and also removes listeners when unloading a window. In addition I think there should be an onUnload handler to remove the listeners from folder tree and thread tree. I think once onLoad / addListeners is called you should remove the "load" listener to not leak it. The default value might change like currently happening in Bug 937461 and therefore causing Lightning Bug 937470. You should pass |false| as the 3rd parameter to addEventListener() like done everywhere else in calendar code to not rely upon default values. ![]() ![]() > Source File: chrome://calendar/content/calendar-extract.js Line: 207 > Warning: ReferenceError: reference to undefined property tState If you enable strict warnings you will get a notification about the unknown |this| like In my understanding calendar-extract.js contains just a bunch of methods that are only defined inside |calendarExtract| namespace to not pollute the global namespace. Commenting out this line allows initialization to continue and the status bar is shown again. I assume the wrong line |calendarExtract.addListeners() | causes an failure during an loading but it seems the error is nowhere reported.

This time when I rolled over the icon it said “Firefox from iPhone.” When I turn off Firefox on the iPhone, the icon goes away. Then I checked and turned on Firefox on my iPhone and the Firefox icon with the tv appeared again. When she turns it off, the icon goes away. When my wife turns on her computer (running Mojave) with Firefox, I get the extra icon. I noticed the Firefox icon with the tv screen after I started running Monterey (I had been running Mojave). Handoff is a tool that was designed into Apple’s operating systems to make it easy to copy and paste things like text and images between devices or answer a call coming into your iPhone on your Mac.It’s part of an overall scheme called Continuity that was developed by Apple to let users start work on one device, then continue on another. I have the same problem, which appears to be a huge security flaw on recent Mac operating systems running Firefox. Apple's Handoff is the perfect example of Continuity, an integration of various devices that allows a continuous flow of activity between iPhone, iPad, and Mac.(For the record) Posted by agarratt in another thread: Transitioning to a device signed into another Apple ID is not possible with Handoff, requiring an AirDrop of the document in progress or sharing the file via an iCloud link. Apple Watch compatibility is more limited, only allowing a Handoff from the watch to the iPhone that it's paired with. This means an iPod touch is also compatible. Compatible devices include those that run iOS 8 or newer, any version of iPadOS, OS X Yosemite, any version of macOS, and any version of watchOS. The only requirement for Handoff to work is for each device to be signed into the same Apple ID and the same app being installed on a somewhat recent Apple device. ![]() When transitioning to a Mac, the Handoff icon appears at the end of the dock, to the right for a horizontal dock, or at the bottom when the dock preferences are set for vertical orientation at the left or right edge of the screen. To switch to an iPad, the same type of bottom-up gesture brings up the dock and the Handoff icon will show as the last app on the right. The Handoff icon will appear at the bottom of the screen and a tap will open it. More specifically, the current app and current document that is open on a Mac will appear on an iPhone in the multitasking view when swiping up from the bottom edge. From the user's perspective, it only requires a click or a tap to continue work on another device. Using Handoff is mostly automatic, with Apple's macOS, iPadOS, and iOS handling the heavy lifting. |
